A fully equipped kitchen and scullery room The kitchen has premium appliances including a gas stove, two combo fridge/freezers, a dishwasher, a washing machine and, in addition, ample and high-quality kitchen utensils and dinnerware.

Indulge in the farm’s significant family, cultural and national history. Established in 1743 and initially granted to Izaak van der Merwe, the farm has remained in the Van der Merwe family lineage through successive generations. It is the oldest family-owned business in South Africa, with Schalk van der Merwe, the tenth-generation custodian, currently managing the cultivation of the farm, which serves as home to him, his wife Kyla, and their youngest – an eleventh generation Van der Merwe – baby boy Fanie.
