Our fruit producing units, Boplaas, Bergvliet, Dankbaar and Marlenique, together with Marlenique Packhouse is SIZA (Sustainable Agriculture in South Africa) Certified to the Ethical Standards.
Our fruit producing units are also GLOBALG.A.P (Global Good Agricultural Practices) certified.
Through the GLOBALG.A.P Standard, our fruit producing units have the additional SPRING Add-On (The Sustainable Program for Irrigation and Groundwater Use) Certification to show our commitment to more responsible on-farm water stewardship
Through the GLOBALG.A.P Standard, Marlenique Packhouse has the additional COC (Chain of Custody) Certification which allows supply chain stakeholders to demonstrate management systems that seek to protect the segregation, identification, and traceability of products originating from GLOBALG.A.P. certified production processes.
Marlenique Packhouse is also certified with the BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard which has set the benchmark for Global Food Safety Practices.
Marlenique Packhouse is also registered with the Food and Drug Administration in the USA which enables us to export products to the USA.
Specifically for the export of Citrus products, Marlenique Packhouse is registered with PhytClean for Phytosanitary Special Markets
Marlenique Packhouse is also recognised by SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authority) to use Method 2 of Container Gross Mass Verification.
